Scraping

Here is David scraping the boat. I am helping with my eyes.

I work fifty hours a week in health care, which is the kinesthetic equivalent of scraping, only with people, not with boats. So I don’t have much boat scraping in me.

David knew this when he demanded — relented on -- the boat after much television about sailboat refit that even I would watch. But perhaps he knew this with his mind and not as much with his muscles, which can be sore at this point.

David would like to remind us that he is a builder and knows about women.

Scraping.

Mostly I am drumming up enthusiasm about the boat and keeping the goal in our mind. It is quiet coves and soft winds. Here we are heading for the Puget Sound relaxed and away from everything.

Just after the scraping.
